About THE America 101 Project
Eh-den Perlove and Lily Claire Nussbaum met as volunteer co-chairs of Political Operations for the Women's March on Washington NYC Chapter. Alongside twenty other women they coordinated fundraisers, ran community-building events, and ultimately brought thousands of New Yorkers to Washington, D.C. for the March. In the months that followed, the two women brainstormed about the necessity of maintaining momentum within this new wave of activists. As both come from creative performance backgrounds, they understand the value of storytelling, communication, and truth above all. With the guiding belief that context and facts are fundamental to active resistance, they decided to create an accessible series of discussions and panels that explore the history and present state of our nation.
In their spare time, Eh-den is a multi-disciplinary arts administrator finishing her Masters degree in Business and Nonprofit Management, and Lily is getting her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling and volunteering as a crisis counselor for the Crisis Text Line.
