Beyond The Dream: To The Promised Land

Walk through Harlem to hold reverence for his life and fulfil he call to service of the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Junior on the 50th Anniversary of his assassination.

Join us on April 4th to first rally, then march and then act to address the challenges we face in building the more peaceful, equitable and empathetic society that Dr. King envisioned for us. Please do bring your children, your parents, friends and neighbors - all are welcome.

Dr. King gave his life to creating a more just and peaceful society and now we are compelled to give a few hours of our time chart the next fifty years for our communities and our families.

Along with renowned artist, leaders, thinkers, dreamers and doers we will gather to be entertained, inspired and moved to change the future. The day’s agenda is as follows:

Wednesday, April 4th, 2018

5 - 6:00pm | Gather at the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. statue in Harlem to hear from and meet with local artists, activists and leaders

6:00 - 7pm | Silent, reverential march together from the Adam Clayton Powell Jr statue to Riverside Church

7 - 8:30pm | Celebratory gathering at Riverside Church with world-renowned entertainers and thought leaders

Many of us were not present for Dr. King’s history making speech on that fateful day in Memphis, but together, starting now and right here in New York City, we will forge history and climb to that next mountaintop.
